English: K-8th
Early learners will learn to read by sight words, phonics and using whole language approach. Fluent readers work on comprehension skills and writing. Grade expected grammar will be mastered for effective writing.
Early Learner: Pre-K - 1st
Students as early as 2-3 yrs old may start learning the basics such as alphabets, numbers, partterns and visual logics. Students will develop fine motor skills by using pencil or markers to trace and draw geometric shapes. Phonemic awareness is emphasized with alphabets and sight words. Phonics will be used to read and spell out words.
Early Reader: 1st - 3rd
Students will learn to read and write words beyond 3 letter words. Students will comprehend the materials read. Fluency of reading, writing and understanding will be emphasized.
Fluent Reader: 3rd and up
Students still work on building vocabulary to help them comprehend complex and advanced writings in literature and informational text. Comprehension and extracting necessary informations to apply will be emphasized. Writing skills are introduced and practiced.
Fluent Writer: 5th and up
